Drum roll ...
exciting times
We’re delighted to share some brilliant news from Dialect HQ: Rock, Paper, Scissors by Ella Duffy and Adam Horovitz has been selected as the Poetry Book Society’s Summer Pamphlet Choice.
This collaborative pamphlet is playful and attentive as it circles around the well‑known childhood game, and has clearly struck a chord with the PBS selectors. It’s a joy to see Ella and Adam’s work recognised in this way, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for them both.
Jackie Kay has already called it “a beautifully conceived wee gem of a chapbook,” and we couldn’t agree more. The pamphlet brings together two distinctive poetic voices in a conversation that is tender, sharp, and full of imaginative leaps.
If you’d like to get your hands on a copy, it’s available now through our Bookshop: www.dialect.org.uk/bookshop
Huge congratulations to Ella and Adam on this well‑deserved honour. It’s a wonderful moment for the poets, and for everyone who loves to see collaborative, risk‑taking poetry celebrated.
If you’d like to hear Adam and Ella in conversation, you can read their collaborative interview here.
They hope to be coming to read in a venue near you soon, and in the meantime, you can sign up to hear Adam read from the pamphlet - with a host of other great poets - at our next Poetry Salon at Museum in the Park, Stroud. This is taking place on Beltane eve, Thursday 30th April 7pm - 9pm. Tickets are free but please book here.

Lovely news and well deserved
